About Metal Art

Metal artistry since 1947

Metal Art has been crafting quality, tailor-made metal badges, medals, awards, souvenirs, mayoral chains and buttons since 1947, for a selected client base. We combine a flawless reputation with years of traditional metal artistry, skill and technique to manufacture and supply true marks of metal creations with lasting value.

Handmade products tailored for our clients

Our metal products are handmade in South Africa at our Bronkhorstspruit factory, by highly skilled individuals. Metals used include gold, sterling silver, platinum, brass and steel amongst others.

Custom design to delivery

A step-by-step process of creation is carefully followed to deliver flawless metal pieces. Manufacturing to delivery takes approximately six weeks, as metal products are hand-made through a labour-intensive method. Products are pressed from a unique steel mould to ensure detailed perfection and quality.

Client requests are launched with a creative session in close conjunction with the client. Our in-house artist then creates an on-scale artwork for client approval. Once approved by the client, the next step is to cut the die (mould) precisely according to the design. The die (mould) is then made. A sample is then manufactured for the client’s final approval before full production commences. Once approved the production process starts and the finished products are delivered to the client.
